Weather is a type of Mechanic that can appear throughout multiple different biomes.
Weather can be customised in a unique menu. Different weather events can be found throughout the world of Hytale, it is currently unknown as to how they generate and for how long they stay for.
List of Weather events
Rain can appear throughout every Zone (except in Zone 2), it is currently unknown as to what fog shall do.
In Zone 1, fog can be found setting over the area, it is currently unknown as to what fog shall do.
In Zone 2, a Sandstorm can come forth, it is currently unknown as to what a Sandstorm shall do.
In Zone 3, Snowstorms can appear, it is currently unknown as to what fog shall do.
Customization
Weather is customizable through different presets that can change assets such as sky color and textures of the moon. Gradients or tones can be applied to each asset.
Presets are configured using an in-game asset customization menu, which allows users to edit most aspects of the game. In the customization interface, different colors can be set for different aspects of the weather at different times of the day. A sidebar allows users to edit other aspects of weather customization, such as skyboxes and stars.
Once presets are created, they can be switched using text commands or can be bound to a keypress. When a preset is updated, the weather will be updated for all players on a server without players having to relog.
